Wimbledon, famous for hosting the annual tennis championships, is a wonderful place to visit at any time of year. The village of Wimbledon, at the top of Wimbledon Hill, is less than 10 miles from the centre of London but feels like it’s in the heart of the countryside.

Wimbledon is a suburb of London, part of the London Borough of Merton and located 7 miles (11.3 km) south west of Charing Cross. For most of the past one hundred years, Wimbledon has been internationally known as the home of the Wimbledon Tennis Championships.
